The Company is one of seven guilds in the City of York whose origin dates back to the 13thCentury and one of only three that have existed without a break since medieval times. Ordinances and members' register are in the City archives of 1387. The Merchant Taylors' Hall, built six centuries ago within the medieval city wall, is one of the most remarkable memorials to the City's medieval past.
Carefully restored in recent times, the Hall provides a magnificent venue for special occasions like banquets, weddings, concerts as well as providing excellent facilities for meetings, exhibitions and conferences. Go to website...
