Studio flat – Fairford Place, Coleham, Shrewsbury

The studio flat at Fairford is a lounge/bedroom with a separate kitchen and bathroom. The flat over looks a communal lawn and gardens. Shrewsbury Town Centre (which is not very far away) can be reached via Greyfriars Bridge. The local facilities in Coleham include a Spar, butchers and cafe. Applicants need to be over 60 years of age and be in housing and financial need.

1 Bed House, Holy Cross Hospital, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury

Holy Cross is a one bedroom house in a historic development with beautifully maintained gardens opposite the Abbey in Shrewsbury. On the ground floor is a lounge and a kitchen and on the first floor is a double bedroom and bathroom. Shrewsbury Town is within walking distance via the Wyle Cop. Please note the stairs are steep and winding and not suitable for people with mobility issues. Applicants need to be over 60 years of age and be in housing and financial need.

Criteria

Many of us reach a point in our lives when we feel that, although we are physically fit and healthy, we would like to have the security of knowing we do not need to worry about the maintenance of our home and the paying of the bills that relate to it. We would like to be living in a community where our needs are understood but we can maintain our independence whilst living in our own home. 
 
Applicants should be:
  • Living in Shropshire or Powys or have close connections to the area
  • Capable of independent living
  • Approaching or already reached retirement age
  • In housing need and without financial resources.
  • Be able to benefit from and contribute to, living in a community
